DESCRIPTION:
From Latin Laurentius, former village and castle in medieval times, Lorenzana is placed in a place where you can see the whole profile of the Pisan hills.
Immersed in the green, Lorenzana preserves the appearance of a typical hill town. Next to the church dedicated to St. Bartholomew and Christopher, is the ancient palace of the domino that during Lorenzi was the seat of the Florentine Podestà.
What’s Nearby is the farm-house accounts and Giuli Villa Sforni with a Romanesque church annex.
Colle Alberti and Vicchio centers are ancient places on hill slopes which are well worth a visit for the gentle landscape.
