Involved in hostilities between Pisa and Florence, saw his castle dismantled, of which today no trace remains. Among the villas are reminiscent of Villa Belvedere, in panoramic position with garden and orangery, Valdisonzi Villa Corsini, Villa Il Poggio, and Pepi Charles Villa-Museum, the famous art critic, open to the public for visits to the rich collection of ‘contemporary art.
